Michiru Takeda (武田 美千留 Takeda Michiru), nicknamed Micchan (みっちん), is one of the main characters of Hai-Furi. She serves as the main battery turner on the Harekaze.
Personality[]
Throughout the series, not much of Michiru's personality is known, but she is shown to be quite positive and her interest in being a gunner is undeniable like the rest of the Surface Combat department. At one point in the OVA, she was even willing to transfer to the Musashi due to the fact that the Musashi had larger guns, showing her passion for artillery. However, after knowing the fact that, she may not be a gunner anymore, she decided to stay with the Harekaze crew.
Etymology[]
- The name Michiru means "beautiful" (美) (mi), "thousand" (千) (chi) and "detain, fasten, halt, stop" (留) (ru).
- Michiru's surname Takeda means "military, martial" (武) (take) and "field, rice paddy" (田) (ta/da).
